The Directorate of Culture undertakes and successfully implements various projects and schemes to carry out its mission, and also actively recognizes and encourages various cultural institutions. The scope of its work extends from wide-ranging activities such as execution of many plan schemes, disbursement of pension to indigent artists, pension to those employees who retired from selected cultural institutions, disbursement of grants, both plan and non plan, running into more than 100 crores of rupees to various organizations.
