Elathur is one of the 140 State Legislative Assembly constituencies in Kerala. It is also one of the 7 Assembly segments included in the Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency. A. K. Saseendran of Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar) is the current MLA.
