Dr. Thomas Mathew is the current Director of Medical Education for Kerala, appointed in June 2022 by the Health Department. Prior to that, he served as Joint Director (from May 2020), a pivotal role during the state's COVID‑19 response, and has also held leadership positions as Principal at Government Medical Colleges in Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Idukki .
