It is situated 21km away from sub-district headquarter Aluva (taluk office) and 40km away from district headquarter Kakkanad. As per 2009 stats, Thuravoor village is also a gram panchayat. Thuravoor has a total population of 22,786 people, out of which male population is 11,354 while female population is 11,432.
