Peerumade Taluk is a high-altitude administrative region in the Idukki district of Kerala, with Peermade town as its headquarters. The taluk consists of 10 villages, including Peermade, Vandiperiyar, Kumily, Elappara, Periyar, and Upputhara. Known for its tea, coffee, and spice plantations, as well as eco-tourism and wildlife sanctuaries, Peerumade lies along the Western Ghats and is a popular hill destination.
