Pattambi Taluk, located in the western part of Palakkad district, Kerala, is known for its strong cultural identity and dense population. Formed in 2013 by bifurcating Ottapalam Taluk, it comprises around 18 villages, many of which are semi-urban and closely connected by road and rail networks. Agriculture, trade, and small-scale industries form the backbone of the local economy, with paddy fields, coconut groves, and banana plantations being common in the rural areas. Pattambi is also recognized for its educational institutions and vibrant literary and artistic traditions, making the taluk a culturally rich and economically active part of Palakkad district.
