Neyyattinkara Taluk is one of six taluks in the Thiruvananthapuram Revenue District, alongside Thiruvananthapuram, Nedumangad, Chirayinkeezhu, Varkala, and Kattakkada. It includes the Neyyattinkara Municipality and 25 villages.
The villages in this taluk are: Athiyannoor, Aryancode, Athiyanoor, Chenkal, Karode, Karumkulam, Kanjiramkulam, Kollayil, Kulathoor, Maranalloor, Neyyattinkara, Ottasekharamangalam, Pallichal, Perumkadavila, Parassala, Poovar, Thirupuram, Thiruvallam, Thirupuram, Vellarada, and several others forming its rural and semi-urban landscape.
The taluk functions as a center for agriculture, local trade, and administrative services in the southern part of the district.
