Kallara village is located in Vaikom taluka of Kottayam district in Kerala. It is situated 22km away from sub-district headquarter Vaikom (tehsildar office) and 12km away from district headquarter Kottayam. As per 2009 stats, Kallara village is also a gram panchayat. Kallara has a total population of 13,562 people, out of which male population is 6,686 while female population is 6,876.
