Idukki Taluk is a mountainous administrative region in the Idukki district of Kerala, with Cheruthoni as its headquarters. The taluk comprises 13 villages, including Vathikudy, Kanjikuzhy, Mariyapuram, Kamakshi, Vellathooval, and Vazhathope. It is home to the iconic Idukki Arch Dam and large forest areas, and is known for hydroelectric projects, spice plantations, and rich biodiversity. The taluk lies within the Western Ghats and features rugged terrain and scenic landscapes.
