The Director of the Groundwater Department in Kerala provides overall guidance, supervision, and control for the department's activities. They are assisted by a Superintending Hydrogeologist and a Superintending Engineer. The Director also oversees the State Project Monitoring Unit for the Ground Water component of the National Hydrology Project . The current Director of the Groundwater Department is Smt D Dharmalashri IAS.
